You think Ed Gillespie believes women should make their own reproductive choices? Try again.

“Get The Facts” spotlights Ed Gillespie’s willful stand against a woman’s right to choose. While Dr. Ralph Northam championed defending and expanding women’s access to reproductive healthcare, Gillespie has said he would like to see abortion be banned in the commonwealth and he has defended efforts to defund Planned Parenthood at the federal level.

Gillespie’s stance on federally defunding Planned Parenthood could block millions from getting preventive care including birth control, cancer screenings, and STD testing and treatment, resulting in more undetected cancers and more unintended pregnancies. Gillespie has still not said whether or not he would have signed or vetoed the 2017 bill that would have defunded Planned Parenthood in Virginia.
